64 teams race in Open, Women’s, Mixed, Junior and 1km Divisions.

The Liechtenstein Princely Navy were crowned Open Division champions at the 2014 Lamma 500 held at Tai Wan To Beach, Lamma Island, Hong Kong on Sunday 4th May. BGC Stormy Dragons had another successful Lamma festival, lifting the both the Ladies and Mixed 1km race trophies and the Women’s 500m Cup. The Lamma Dragons triumphed in the 1km Open division and their Junior A team won the Damien Laracy Trophy in the inaugural Junior Division.

Sixty four teams, including the Seven Seas Dragon Boat team who flew into Hong Kong from Australia for the competition, competed in 43 races in the 8th annual Lamma 500 festival, one of the most colourful, fun, but competitive dragon boat races on the calendar.

Following the final race, the paddlers were treated to an acrobatic dance show by the professional dancers of Team Mushu, a prize presentation and then a fun beach party.
